Beckett is 14 and in his 1st semester of 8th grade. He's still in HiCap Social Studies & English and double accelerated Math (Aleebra). He continues to excel academically getting straight A's. He is starting to develop a friend group with some of his Track distance runners which is a long time in coming and so welcomed!

B is currently participating in the Fall Track season running both the 800 and the 1600. He gets better and better with each meet and has been PR'ing each time. Last week he had a meet at Summit Middle School and the Varsity team ran over to watch them and cheer them on. It was really heart warming to see B light up when Hudson surprised him by showing up with his buddies and the head coach!! Next Summer the XC camp is in Steamboat Springs, CO and Coach Brady opened it up to incoming Freshman so Beckett is going to go as well. Woot-Woot!

He continues to love all kinds of sports and doesn't discriminate. He's happy watching college or professional basketball, baseball, football and hockey. He likes to watch the games, learn about the players and occasionally attend a game at a nearby stadium. For his birthday mom took him to a Seahawks game after winning the Starbucks corporate seats...5 ROWS OFF THE FIELD!!!

The last 6 months' adventures include the following:
1) Band of Brothers & XC Season (May): B participated in the 7th grade Band of Brothers and a short 2 week XC season culminating with a Jamboree at the end.
2) Vasa Park | San Francisco | Methow (June): Per tradition, B went with the 7th grade class to their end of the year class field trip to Vasa Park. At the end of this year he'll go to the Family Fun Center with the 8th grade class. We also took a family trip to San Francisco where he got to see Fisherman's Wharf, The Golden Gate & Presidio Park, Alcatraz, Stanford, University and took in a Giant's baseball game. Then B spent a week in the Methow w nana/papa by himself. He did a lot of work for papa around the property and drove the John Deer train in the 4th of July parade!
3) Caribbean & Montana (July): Last Summer was B's turn to take a trip with Grandma and they chose to go on a Caribbean Cruise. He was really excited and began counting down the days via the cruise app. They had really cool ports of calling the Bahamas, Mexico and Honduras. Grandma spoiled him with lots of excursions and of course all the yummy foods! Immediately following the cruise he went back to Montana with her where they took in a rodeo, a concert in Missoula and kayaking on the river. He definitely had a busy traveling month and lots of 1:1 time with Grandma.
4) Walla Walla Road Trip | Methow Man): We enjoyed a mini road trip to Walla Walls and Sandpoint to van camp enjoy Lake Pond Oreille and experience Silverwood Theme Park. Beckett and dad did all the crazy roller coasters. He is SO BRAVE!!!  Next up was the 9th annual Methow Man Week where they road motorcycles quite a bit, swam in Schmekel's pond and went golfing at Bear Creek Later that month right before school started, Beckett went to Tommy's birthday party at SkyZone!
5) 8th Grade | Track Season | Mariners Game (Sept): B is now in his final year of middle school and the "top of the heap". He's doing Track and really enjoying it with his eye likely on joining the XC/Track high school team. He really wanted to see Aaron Judge (NY Yankee's) play when he came to Seattle so he bought really good seats right behind home plate with his own money so we could get an up close view!!
6) Friend Hangs | Beckett's Birthday (Oct): B has started to form a group of buddies with his distance Track friends (Tommy, Jace, Kabran, Xavier) and have gone to Jace's house a couple times in the past couple weeks to hand outside and play. For B's birthday, mom got the Starbucks Corporate seats and took him to a Seahawks game. They didn't win but it was super cool being really close to the field with amazing seats. On his birthday he got a new phone case, some football and baseball cards, $$ and a beardless skateboard from nana. We spent a couple hours at Top Golf to celebrate with him as well.

Beckett is getting taller and his legs are longer than his dad's. Hudson thinks B will be taller than him. All 3 guys wear the same show size right now which is funny. He's got his braces on and we're hoping that a year from now those will be no longer.

Beckett continues to LOVE sweets. His diet isn't great so we're trying to rein it in a little so that he doesn't form bad habits. He still doesn't eat breakfast before school, doesn't take a lunch with him and says that he's just not hungry. He remains curious about a lot of things and asks a lot of questions which can be exhausting but I hope is a sign of intelligence. We've taken a break from pickleball and tennis and have been REALLY into ping-pong. We bought a little net you can attach to the kitchen table and play almost daily. We also bought a badminton set and played a little bit in the yard this past Summer. He has several weekly chores he does around the house to help out and earns $15/week in allowance. He meticulously lays out his bank statements on his dresser and loves watching his account grow via the BECU app.

We love you Beckett-Boo <3
