Beckett is 7 years old. He's in FIRST GRADE and in school all day for the first time.
His teacher is Ms. Riley and she is new to Shadow Lake Elementary due to a major district shift.

Beckett just finished Harry Potter #3 and continues to be way beyond his expected reading level.
He is learning about number pairs (example: 1+5=6; 2+4=6; 3+3=6) and simple addition. So far, he seems to enjoy his class, his teacher, and school in general.

Beckett is in Fall soccer with boys only. It's an "off" year for him and he's not with Cru. Unfortunately he won't have coach Burreson anymore since Skyler will stay with Brooklyn and the girls game moving forward. B is having a challenging time enjoying this season and I don't blame him. His coach complicates things and causes more confusion than collaboration. I keep telling him...just a couple more practices and I will request we NEVER get her as our coach again.

Beckett was in Level 4 swim for two weeks this Summer. We told him he could be done with lessons if he took 2 private lessons in level 4. He's not as confident as Hudson in the water but I think he knows enough at this point and seems very comfortable in the water.

The last 6 weeks have been full of adventure:
1) We went on a 2 week road trip to Utah this last Summer. He is also becoming a better long-haul traveler. He enjoyed workbook games like crosswords, dot-to-dots, word searches, and of course mazes. He swam in pools, biked around campgrounds, and did a lot of hiking. There were a couple of really hot days but both boys were troopers.
2) Beckett, Hudson and Mommy went to a dance class and learned how to hip-hop.
3) We did several walks, hikes, and bike rides.
4) We went to see Peter Pan the ballet.
5) We went to see the Seattle Storm (Key Arena), Mariners (Safeco) and will see the Sounders (Clink) this Sunday.
6) We were also treated to a sea plane ride to San Juan Island compliments of Uncle Aaron. It was B's first time in a plane and we had such a fun day. Kayaking, Lavender fields, lunch @ Roche Harbor and driving around the island in our matching Smart Cars.

Beckett has lost four teeth to date. (his middle top and bottom two) and he's all about the tooth fairy.

Beckett hasn't wet the bed in a long time. So fingers crossed we've crossed through that phase.
We went to Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate his birthday and he is such a little daredevil. This time he was tall enough to go all the way to the top slides. He and daddy went on the scariest slides over and over again which is a good thing because Mommy and Hudson were too scared. He is such a brave, independent, fearless, adventurous little man. He takes after his dad so much in this way. He continues to have boundless energy and spurts of being "wild" where we still have to reign him in a bit. But he is our little tornado and we love him for it.
